Why Now

The urgency is clear: in recent years, universities have rapidly transformed their campus cultures through trans activism—promoting social transition, providing “gender-affirming care,” and replacing sex-based policies. Yet families seeking schools that prioritize academics face a maze of unclear or buried institutional positions. All too often, parents discover the full scope of a university’s approach to gender identity only after enrollment.

Our site breaks through this information barrier, providing clear, systematic data to help families evaluate colleges before making one of their most important—and costly—decisions.

Your Voice Matters

We encourage parents, students, and alumni to share their experiences of the colleges we survey. If you notice anything missing or feel that a college has been misrepresented, please submit your comments using the feedback form available for each college. All comments will appear anonymously on the site. Your input will help improve the survey and ensure it remains accurate and relevant.

Looking ahead, we are also considering expanding this project to cover universities in Canada and other countries where the demand for similar resources is growing.

Rating Criteria

Colleges are rated on their level of trans activism through an analysis of institutional policies, health services, housing, bathrooms, academic programs, counseling services, and student activities. Each institution is assigned one of three ratings:

Widespread: These colleges strongly support trans activism, either directly providing “gender-affirming care” (hormones, surgeries) or offering letters of support to obtain these services externally. They typically have gender self-ID policies, gender-inclusive housing, LGBT resource centers, Safe Zone trainings, and promote transgender visibility events.

Moderate: These colleges maintain basic LGBTQ+ resources but show less commitment to trans activism. They may have support services but don’t actively promote “gender-affirming care”, with traditional policies coexisting alongside some gender identity accommodations.

Limited: These colleges show minimal engagement with trans activism, typically maintaining traditional sex-based policies in housing, bathrooms, and other facilities. They follow basic non-discrimination requirements while focusing primarily on academic excellence rather than trans ideology.
