Widespread is putting it mildly. Our daughter went to campus health services for counseling and was paired with an activist social worker who quickly referred her to the nearby gender clinic which is run by a doctor who used to work at RIT. Her “counselor” did not explore her mental health or childhood trauma and considered them immaterial to her gender questions. She went no contact with us for a semester after she sent us “the letter” informing us she is really our son and she was starting “T”. We were able to rebuild some semblance of a relationship, but she is still living the lie. I think cracks are starting to form and she is starting to think for herself now that she has graduated and is away from the toxic bubble. I just pray she realizes she was captured by a terrible delusion and turns her back on this insanity. I am angry with RIT because they present the school as being focused on preparing students for career success, but instead they facilitate and promote magical thinking and victimhood. ~ Parent
